Popular Kenyan songstress Madam.Boss Akothee has shed light on the circumstances surrounding the cancellation of an invitation to Ngiya girls.On her Instagram page, the proud mother of five expressed her disappointment with the school’s administration after they informed her of cancelling the event.
Akothee informed her fans that the talent show failed to take place since an ACK (Anglican Church of Kenya) and the school were unable to come to an agreement.
“We have new developments in Ng’iya girls, We shall have to cancel the event because the ACK Bishop of the area is not comfortable with our presence. They even went to the school and were very hard on the principal,” the text read.
Akothee did not hesitate to thank the school’s administration for extending their invitation and even promised to support them in a future endeavor. She expressed her respect and also understanding of the matter.
“I pray that your new development of having a foundation within the school will uplift a lot of souls. I really appreciate the love and faith you have for me.I will still support any course that will leave a positive impact on our society. I will still support where I can, even from where I am standing. May God bless you,”
Earlier on Akothee had shared on her social media pages that she was to be a guest speaker at the school. She expressed her excitement and also encouraged other alumni students to join her in the school’s project.
Many of her fans supported the idea and a large number congratulated her on the new opportunity and expressed their support for the project. The post also stirred controversy among social media users with some expressing dissatisfaction saying that her presence in the school was not appropriate.
