Kirinyaga county is buzzing with political activities and rivalry emanating within those leaders in the UDA party. This was witnessed when a rally turned chaotic and a legislator was injured.
According to the county’s woman representative Njeri Maina, Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru is plotting to assassinate her. This she posted on her social media platforms where she alleged that the second term governor had hired goons to have her killed. Maina went ahead to even reveal that the said goons have been given ksh. 30,000 each to plan and execute the murder.
Maina says that Waiguru is using a goon named Kings to organize the activities that would lead to her killing. The first time member of parliament said that Waiguru influenced the principal of Kamiigua polytechnic to deny her and her team a ground to issue bursaries to orphaned pupils and students.
Over the last weekend, Maina was hit by a stone during a rally in the county which saw her get admitted in hospital. It is not clear where the rivalry between the two whose work areas are quite distinct is coming from.
