According to news hitting headlines, Raila Odinga’s all time personal bodyguard Maurice Ogeta has been abducted by unknown people. This has been confirmed by ODM party head of communication Philip Etale.
According to Etale, Maurice Ogeta was heading to his work as usual when a group of plain clothed people believed to be DCI officers took him and bundled him inside a car and drove off to unknown destination. This happens at a time when political tension I so tense in the country given that today is the beginning of a three days demonstrations called by Azimio to oppose William Ruto’s regime decision to force extra taxes on Kenyans.
Arrest of Maurice Ogeta is now a clear threat to the life of Raila Odinga and given that the Kenya Kwanza politicians have been bragging openly on plans to kill Raila Odinga, this now adds to worries of many on the threat.
