University student found dead in her house

Police officers from Kesses in Uasin Gishu county are investigating the death of a fourth year student at who was found dead in her house on Sunday 24th September. Cynthia Mutinda had been unreachable on Saturday 23rd and this became a concern to her friends and relatives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

After failing to find her through phone call, the friends accompanied by some of her family members decided to visit her house to find out what was wrong. However, when they reached, they were puzzled to find her door closed from inside without any sign of interference. After peeping through the window, they were met with sad scene of Cynthia’s body lying on her bed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This made them alert the area police officers who came and gained entry into the house where they confirmed the incident. According to Kesses OCPD, there was no anything that indicated a struggle had occurred in the house or anything that could point out a foul play in her death. Her body was taken to the mortuary awaiting a postmortem to be conducted to know what actually killed her.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cynthia Mutinda’s death has come only a few weeks after another student at Daystar University died under unclear circumstances within the university. Mercy Cherono who had just joined the institution a few days before her death, was found dead with knife wounds just after attending a fresher’s bash.
