Gems Cambridge International School bought the school for 1.5 billion, shuttered its KSh3 billion facility, and transferred its pupils to Hillcrest. The new owners’ financial might will help the school grow.
Light Academy
Light International Schools has 3 Nairobi, 1 Mombasa, and 1 Malindi schools. Schools provide British and 8-4-4 curriculum. Karen has the high school, Lavington the primary, and Lenana the kindergarten. All schools provide British curriculum, however only Karen and Mombasa offer 8-4-4. 8-4-4 schools excel academically. The Karen branch has been among the top 10 KCSE schools for 10 years.
The institution provides great boarding, athletic, and academic facilities. All students get laundry services and sleep in carpeted rooms with TVs and other amenities. Active alumni. Alumni may gather at the Nairobi alumni office. The office conducts several alumni gatherings. LIS also places graduates in Kenyan internships. This aids career choice.
