Top highest paid footballers in Saudi Arabia League

There has been influx of European footballers into the Saudi Arabian pro league since last year. Many players whose contracts have come to an end in European clubs, especially those whose ages are quite high,  tend to get lucrative offers from most Saudi clubs and this has made the Pro league attract attention globally.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo

The move by Cristiano Ronaldo to Saudi from Manchester United shocked the whole world. He signed a  two-year deal with Al-Nassr club where he is paid an annual salary of £173 million.

2. Karim Benzema

Karim decided to end his one year extensioncontract with Real Madrid that would have kept him in Spain till 2024. This was after he received a call from Saudi pro league winners Al-Ittihad offering him a three year contract with annual salary of £ 172 million.

3. N’Golo Kanté

He did not play most parts of last season with chel but still Al-Ittihad saw potential in him prompting Chelsea to just sell the midfielder. He will be receiving £ 86.2 per year.

4. Kalidou Koulibaly

The Senegalese stayed at Chelsea for only 12 months and he had a disappointing start. Al-Hilal managed to get him from Chelsea at a cost of £20 million and they will be paying him an annual wage of £30 million.

5. Roberto Firmino

He left Liverpool FC when his contract expired and this became an opportunity for Al-Ahli to sign him despite his huge talent that would still have kept him at a European club. He signed for a yearly salary of £17 million.
