Top 10 most expensive transfers in EPL

The English Premier League is arguably the most popular football competition across the world. The league that constitutes teams from the Britain is rated high due to its competetive nature and rivalry involved. It is always a dream of any football player to play in any of the clubs in the EPL. Over time, there are players who havebroken the record as the most expensive transfers in the league and here is the list of top ten of them;

  • Enzo Fernandez

The Argentine midfielder moved to Chelsea from Benfica in January 2023 for a fee of €121 million. He hold the record as the most expensive transfer into EPL.

  •  Jack Grealish 

The English winger joined Manchester City from Aston Villa for €117 million in the 2021/2022 season. He has managed to establish himself as one of the club’s main players.

  •  Declan Rice

The English center midfielder joined Arsenal for €116.6 million from West Ham United during the 2023 Summer Transfer Window. Since his arrival, he has appeared in the FA Community Shield final and one EPL match.

  • Moises Caicedo

The Ecuadorian center midfielder is the English Premier League’s most recent addition. He joined Chelsea from Brighton for €116 million in the 2023/2024 season.

 

  • Romelu Lukaku

The Belgian centre striker joined Chelsea from Inter Milan for €113 million in the 2021/2022 season.

  • Paul Pogba

He has had a dramatic transfer and he joined Manchester United from Juventus in 2016/2017 season for a fee of 105 million euros. He is a French attacking midfielder.

  • Anthony

The Brazilian joined Manchester United from Ajax for a 95 million euros in 2022/2023 season. He is a right winger.

  • Gvardiol

He joined Manchester City from the RB Leipzig for a fee of 90 million euros in 2023/2024 season.

  • Harry Maguire

The former Red Devils captain joined in 2019/2020 season from the Leicester city for a fee of 87 million euros.

  • Jadon Sancho

The English player left Borussia Dortmund at a fee of 85 million euros for Manchester United in the 2021/2022 season.
