It has been revealed that some individuals close to former Uasin Gishu governor, Jackson Mandago, were involved in withdrawing funds from the failed Finland- Canada Scholarship program. These details were revealed during the arraigment of senator Mandago faced before a Nakuru court.
The Nation has disclosed that Joshua Kipkemoi and Meshack Rono are the two individuals who were involved in the withdrawal of funds. The two are said be Mandago’ s aides and they conducted separate fund withdrawals over a period of two years.
The report allege that a total of about Ksh 17. 8 million was transfered from the accounts of the failed Finland- Canada Scholarship program. Mr. Meshack Rono came out as the main beneficiary since he withdrew Ksh 15. 7 million from the program’ s accounts.
