Kenyan singer Kelvin Kioko better known as Bahati has reacted to the recent remarks by the New Life church pastor, pastor Ezekiel Odero. Pastor Ezekiel, who is among the most controversial pastors in Kenya, had made comments about ladies named Diana. The pastor was engaging one of the congregants in his church during the service when he realised the lady is named Diana.
According to Pastor Ezekiel, any lady named Diana is not fit for marriage as they have very bad characters. He says that if one marries a lady named Diana, they do not stay in the marriage. He added that those who stay will always turn out to be so controlling such that they become the heads of the family overtaking the husbands. Ezekiel continued to say that another problem with ladies named Diana is that they are naturally loved by many which make them unfaithful to their husbands.
“Ushawai kuona Diana yeyote kwa ndoa? Hakuna hata mmoja.Ukioa Diana ushi na yeye, yeye ndiye anakucontrol kama robot. Utaishi na Diana, she becomes the husband. Lakini wewe ndio uwe mume, Diana anaenda, hapo nimeongea ukweli,” he said.
“Usimpe mtoto wako jina Diana. Sababu akiolewa, utashare na watu. Diana anapendwa bila sababu hata kama hajui. Because the name carried the spirit.” He added.
However, his comments did not sit well with the Bahati family as they came out to defend their name. Bahati who is married to Diana Marua fiercely opposed the pastor’s words saying that Dianas are the best wives. Bahati revealed that he has been married to Diana for over seven years and soon by October 20th, they will celebrate the 7th anniversary.
“Is this a TRUE or FALSE Prophet??? 🙆 Somebody tell this Pastor to Stop Misleading the Church. @Diana_Marua and I are Celebrating 7 Golden Years of Marriage This Coming OCTOBER, 20TH. DIANAS ARE THE BEST!!!” Bahati posted.
Diana herself also took issues with Ezekiel terming him a liar and questioned if he is the same pastor who was named in the Shakahola massacre.
“Don’t be Married to Ezekiel’s!!! They will look at you straight in your eyes and LIE! Is this the same Ezekiel that was part of SHAKAHOLA MASSACRE????” Diana reacted.
