Shaniqwa is a multi-talented comedian, TV host, and MC in Kenya who goes the extra mile to cross-dress as a signature style that has paid off for him. The talented actor started his acting career in 2009 but what most Kenyans do not know is that Shaniqwa is a man and not a woman in real life. Shaniqwa’s real names are Kevin Mwangi Thiong’o. His favorite author is Marjorie Oludhe of ‘Coming to Birth,’ a set book he studied in high school. Apart from being a comedian and MC going by the stage name Mc Kevatin, based on Shaniqwa photos, he seems to have added a new career and is now working as a waitress.

Shaniqwa Ktn
Shaniqwa started his role-playing on KTN portraying the character of Karis in the television series The Real House Helps Of Kawangware. He did the role of being the cousin of Njugush, a known celebrity in the Kenyan tv acts. In the play, he was a drunk villager who moves to his cousin’s place in Kawangware.
Later, He joined the Jameni, TV show in the KTN that does short films portraying current happenings in a comic way. He did the role of Shaniqwa which rose him to fame for his courageous acts and re-known tagline ‘Ntakumurder’.
Shaniqwa joined tv hosting with the morning show Life and Style which airs every morning and the Friday show Feel Good Friday alongside tv host Mwikali Mary. He later departed from KTN and is doing other things exploring new adventures in his career.
Shaniqwa Leaves KTN
Comedian Shaniqua has parted ways with KTN three years after co-hosting KTN life and style. Shaniqua took to social media to reveal the news saying he would reveal where he would be going next.
“Yes I did my last show yesterday on #ktnlifeandstyle thank you @ktn_kenya for always believing in me, for my fans I will keep you posted where am landing next GOD BLESS YOU ALL. ” he posted.
The news was first shared by his co-host Mwikali Mary who appreciated their two years together.

He left in 2018 and has since posted that he is the newest sexy waitress in Nairobi serving alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices. He added that he will be serving drinks at Native Club from as little as Khs 50 and people will get legit beers, not like the ones for ‘mama pima’.
