Mugithi musician Samuel Muchoki, often known as Samidoh, has responded passionately to a fan’s request that he quit from the Kenya Police Service and focus on his music tours. A fan stated on one of the musician’s Facebook postings that the government still pays him even though he is more of a tourist than a police officer.
Due to his numerous music tours throughout the world, a Facebook user identified as Macharia Mash requested that the musician resign from the police force and leave the post open for other needy Kenyans to occupy.
“And the government pays you as a policeman and you are more than a tourist, a fan commented. In his response, Samidoh seemed unfazed by the Facebook user’s order.
“Now do you want to cry?” he replied.
The singer is now in Melbourne, Australia, where he is entertaining his fans at various places. The Australian tour follows performances in Germany and Dubai. Despite his success in the music business, Samidoh, who is also an Administrative Police officer, stated last year that he saw no need to abandon his profession as a security guard. He frequently posts images and videos of himself acting in many places of the world, although he is not a police officer.
“I work on weekdays and when needed and on weekends I do my music, like any other talent in the police service,” he said in an interview with Word Is.
