Samidoh is a household name in Kenya especially urban areas where people are so much into social media and technology. He is doubling up as a police office and also a musician singing in Kikuyu language and he has been ranked as one of the best in Mugithi music, a genre of Kikuyu music that is equivalent of the Ohangla in the Luo language.
Samidoh was born as Samuel Muchoki Ndirangu on 1st September, 1991 making him a 32 years old as of 2023. He was born in Subukia constituency in Nakuu county. He was born as a second born in a family of six. Sadly his father, Michael Nirangu, who was also a police officer was killed in tribal war when Samidoh was only three years old.
After the father’s death, his family was sent away from their land in Subukia by his father’s brothers. They settled at Oljororok in Nyandarua county. He stared his primary school at Oljororok up to class seven and dropped out due to financial problems. Later he went back to school at Kieni primary where he sat his KCPE and joined Kieni secondary in 2004 but was transferred to Oljororok secondary in the same year. Samidoh did a diploma in Business Information Technology at the then Kenya Polytechnic collage now Technical University of Kenya.
Samidoh joined NYS but was sent away when he sneaked out and tried to join police force. He attempted several times to join the police service an he succeeded in 2013 and graduated in 2014. He was posted for the first time in Eastleigh, Nairobi and later transferred to Mpeketoni in Lamu. From here he was posted to Dadaab in Garissa where he worked for over 6 years.
He started his music career in Garissa where he was introduced to the Mugithi by his brother Kariz Magic who is also a musician. He has several songs that can be found on his YouTube channel named Samidoh.
Samidoh is married to Edith Nderitu whom they have two children. Edith has been his long time lover since high school days and despite this,they have had several challenges where she even cheated on him but love won when he forgave her.
Apart from Edith, Samidoh is also a baby daddy to Karen Nyamu, the nominated senator with whom they have a son named Sam Muchoki Junior. His relationship with Karen Nyamu has always brought a lot of issues in his marriage and rumors has it that Edith has left him to stay in the US.
His net worth is in tunes of between 50 to 100 million going by his rich music career and his service a a police officer. He also owns businesses that supplement his incomes.
