Journalist Sam Gituku is currently among the most popular Kenyan journalists. He has been a common figure on Citizen TV where he works. Sam was able to be named as the Young Journalist of the Year in 2014 by Media Council of Kenya. Other than being a TV anchor, he also writes on politics and human interest stories.

Sam is married to his long time friend Ivy Waitherero whom he wedded in 2019. The wedding ceremony was at Deliverance Church, Lang’ata before a lavish reception at the compound of Nairobi Academy. Ivy is also an employee of Royal Media Services.
