Kenyan content creator based in the United States Andrew Kibe suffered a major blow when his YouTube channel with over 400k subscribers was terminated by Google. This left many to wonder what might have caused this.
According to Dorothy Ooko, the Head of Communications and Public Affairs for Africa at Google, Kibe violated YouTube terms of service. Kibe is said that Kibe had been restricted from uploading videos on his channel but he decided to use a different channel.
“Kibe violated YouTube’s Terms of Service. While he was restricted from using YouTube features, including uploading videos on his channel, he used another channel to get around these restrictions aka circumvention, resulting in the termination of all his channels.” Read the report from Dorothy Ooko.
Kibe, while replying to the message from Dorothy, asked to be given evidence of email violation as this is one of the procedures followed when terminating an account. He was shocked that a channel with over 3000 videos could be terminated without even a paper trail.
Kibe has been quite controversial for his stance against women and some men whom he accuse of being weaker version of men. He has been making videos to condemn men and celebrities something which has always made him be hated by a large number of Kenyans.
