Renson Mulele Ingonga was nominated by William Ruto as the new director of public prosecution. If he successfully passed vetting by parliamentary committee, he will assume the office that was initially occupied by Noordin Hajji
Renson Ingonga Mulele Early Life, tribe and Education
He was born in Kakamega county and this shows that he is Luhya by tribe. His exact date of birth is still not made public but he looks like in his early 50s.
He holds a Law degree from the University of Nairobi where he also had his masters in law. His thesis was on “Judicial enforcement of public interest litigation under the 2010 Constitution of Kenya.”

He has over 18 years professional experience where 8 of the 18 years he engaged in serving as a land registrar in Kilifi.
Renson moved to the Office of the DPP In 2013 where he started out as a prosecutor in Nairobi. He worked hard and slowly grew through the ranks to become an Assistant DPP. When he was nominated, he was the head of the ODPP’s North Eastern region office.
