PRESIDENT WILLIAM RUTO LAUNCHES MV UHURU II, KISUMU

In the company of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Kisumu Governor Prof. Anyang Nyongo and Cabinet Secretaries Aden Duale (Defence) Kipchumba Murkomen (Roads & Transport), Eliud Owalo ICT and Salim Mvurya (Mining, Blue Economy & Maritime Affairs), President William Ruto has this afternoon launched the much awaited ship MV Uhuru.

Local leaders joined H. E. the President Dr William Ruto, PhD, CGH, for the launch of MV Uhuru 11 at the Port of Kisumu.

The Ship will tremendously improve commerce and transport between Kisumu and neighbouring countries.

This is a milestone in the trade transport sector with multi sectorol engagements that saw the project rise to completion since its inception during President Uhuru era.

Dr. William Ruto, the 5th president of Kenya was on a three day long development tour of Nyanza Region and during his visit he commissioned and lunched a number of projects.

He equally led a national campaign on unity as a country, asserting that he is a president for all.

The shipyard was launched in the presence of Kisumu Governor Prof. Peter Anyang Nyongo.
