The Kenyan gospel fraternity has been thrown into deep mourning following the untimely death of one of them. This is following the death of Roseline Damian who died yesterday at a Nairobi hospital.
The popular and ever happy Luo Gospel singer Roseline Damian died at the age of 39 years. The news of her death was confirmed by her mother Margret Achieng. She said that her daughter Roseline Damian died on 26th Wednesday at around 4 pm. She was receiving treatment at Texas cancer center in Nairobi where she had been transferred to for specialized treatment.
The gospel artist had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Before her transfer to Texas Cancer Center, she had been admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital. Roseline has left behind a young and small family of her husband and a five year old son.
Roseline was popular for her good and inspiring song both in Dholuo and Swahili. Among her many songs, ‘Ruoth in’gama nade,’ ‘Nipende yesu,’ ‘Simba muomo,’ among others. More details concerning her burial arrangements will be availed once the family set up the burial date.
