The family of Fridah Waithera Macharia is pleading for assistance in locating their daughter. Fridah Waithera, 17, attends Rwathia Girls’High School in Muranga County. She is from the Nyeri county town of Othaya.
Waithera was missing in July under unclear circumstances. The family is asking with Kenyans for assistance in locating her. Fridah was last seen leaving her school in the afternoon on Friday. She was dressed casually in a blue sweater, a green skirt, and black shoes. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes.
Her father, John Waithira, said that he tried to call her several times on Friday evening but her phone was switched off. He said that he reported the matter to the police on Saturday morning after he failed to reach her. He added that he had not received any ransom demand or any clue about her whereabouts. He urged anyone with information to report to the nearest police station or call 07264925354.
“I am very worried about my daughter. She is a bright and obedient girl who loves her studies. She has never gone missing before. I don’t know what could have happened to her,” he said.
