Birth and Early life
Oga Obinna whose real name is Steve Thompson Maghana was born on 6th June 1990 in Maseno the border of Kisumu county and Kakamega. His father was a Kenyan but his mother was a Nigerian of the Igbo community. This explains his Nigerian-like accent and why he calls himself Oga. He is 33 years as of 2023 when this article was written.
Education
There is no much information concerning Oga’s education journey as he has not been speaking openly about it. However, it is said that he attended Chula Imbo High school in Siaya where he managed a mean grade of C+ in the KCSE exams. It is not clear whether he went further than that as this information is not out.
Career
Oga Obinna has a vast history in terms of career. Basically, he is a comedian. He is mostly known for and arguably got the celebrity status due to comedy. He acted in various platforms such as the Churchill Show and has also done his personal comedy skits which he uploads on his social media platforms.
Away from Comedy, Obinna is also a radio presenter and a TV host. Obinna got himself the golden chance of replacing Jalas in the Kiss 100 morning show alongside Kamene Goro after Jalas quit for politics. However, he did not last long enough in the studio as he also quit just after a year at the microphone. This happened after Kamene Goro who was his cohost left Kiss late in 2022. She was replaced by Kwamboxx but it seems the two, Kwambox and Obinna did not have a good ‘chemistry’.
Oga Obinna is a Master of Ceremony. This versatile comedian doubles up as an emcee. He is a good hype man for events such as wedding, birthdays and other such events. Oga once revealed that he was a preacher at some points in his life.
He claims to be a professional musician. Oga has been surprising many by releasing songs. Not many people knew about him as a musician but when he released his songs many were shocked by how good he was. He has several songs such as Jaluo too much money ft Kibandasky.
He is a social media influencer and brand ambassador who has worked with several companies such as Deacon, USN Kenya, Uber and Golden Tulip. He is also a good cook and had contemplated being a cook.

His family background is not public and little is known about his parents and siblings. In his marital life, he has more than two Baby Mamas with whom he has four children, a boy and three girls whom he lives with.
