Mutahi Ngunyi is one of the most popular political analysts in Kenya who have graced the Kenyan television screens for long. He became so popular in 2013 when he coined the tyranny of numbers analogy that he used to explain why it was going to be hard to defeat UhuRuto ticket for the year`s election. This seemed to have proven right after the two won the elections.

Despite his ever prsence in social media, very few details are out about Mutahi Ngunyi`s life. His exact date of birth is not public but he must be a man in his late 40s and early 50s. He is of a Luo – Kikuyu origin as his father was a Luo and mother a Kikuyu. He grew up in Eastland areas in Nairobi.
