MUSICIAN Ali Khamis aka Ally B has passed away.
His family has said that he fell ill suddenly and was taken to Coast General Hospital where he was overdosed and died.
He used to dance with hits like Maria, and Bembea.
Veteran musicians who started art with the deceased have used social media to announce the death of their colleague.
“Your death has hit me,” said Susumila Yusuf who once collaborated with him.
According to his relatives, the musician passed away at the main hospital of Pwani when he was taken after falling ill.
He once ventured into politics and ran for the Junda ward representative seat through the UDA party, but was unsuccessful.
Other musicians who have sent condolences are Jaguar and Masauti.
On July 27, 2021, the musician from the Coast was invited to perform at an event for Mt Kenya artists organized by the owner of Royal Media Services (RMS) SK Macharia.
The event was held in Gatanga in Murang’a County and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga and Mombasa businessman Suleiman Shahbal were seen enjoying the artist’s song.
Ally B was born in Kilifi and died on 1st November 2023 at 37 years.
