MORE FEAR AS SCHOOLS CLOSE INDEFINITELY
The Ministry of Interior through its CS Kithure Kindiki has issued an official statement on the closure of Nairobi and Mombasa schools indefinitely until the forthcoming protests are over. Once he has assertained proper security, he will direct the Ministry of Education to reopen the schools from the two cities.
Kindiki is acting based on gathered intelligence from possible victimization of students from the ongoing Maandamano protests.
Both public and private day and boarding schools within Nairobi and Mombasa stand closed until further notice. See the memo sent to newsrooms minutes ago.
