The government has been ardent on reforming the working conditions of police officers in up-to-date years. The officers are now rightly enumerated than in the past but claims of corruption only seem to intensify.

Hopefully, this course will change and police will exist to their motto “Utumishi Kwa Wote”.

Kenyan police are innately corrupt; so corrupt that you have to bribe the boys in blue to be assisted or to avoid being locked up. Police asking for ‘facilitation’ to investigate a crime is still reported as cases of extrajudicial killings continue unabated. This bad manners still persists even after the government increased their salaries. Simply put, it’s in their DNA.
