Famous actress Kate Actress and her husband Phillip Karanja better known as Phil the Director have divorced after being in marriage for quite some times. This they announced to their fans through a joint statement on Tuesday 19th September 2023. However, they asked Kenyans to keep them out of social limelight and accord them the privacy they need for their children.
“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” they said.
While responding to the statement, Phil said that they will remain friends and business partners from now on despite having no relationship affairs.
“Hii ni mambo ya watu wawili but allow us to add you to the group chat kidogo so we can proceed with our lives bila story mob. Kate Actress and I remain as friends, co-parents and business partners,” he said.
They were married since November 2017 when the two exchanged vows in a wedding ceremony that was attended by only close friends and family. In April this year, there were rumours that they had split. This was after Kate cleared all the photos of Phil on her social media platforms. However, she would later on deny the rumors and said that her marriage was doing well.
