Joshua Sang is a Kalenjin journalist who made headlines after being mentioned and prosecuted at the ICC in the case concerning the post election violence in Kenya in 2007/2008.
Joshua Sang date of birth, age and place of birth
He was born in Seum Village, Cherangany in Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County, in 1975 though the specific date of birth is not public. He was born to Mr Kipsang Keter and Ms Emmy Keter who all live in Seum Village.
Joshua Sang education
Sang attended many primary schools such Kipkeikei Primary School, Konyao Primary School, Kabichbich Primary School and Seum primary school where he did his KCPE exams in 1989.
Sang then joined Kitale Academy for secondary education and sat for KCSE in the year 1993. Sang joined Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, KIMC and graduated in 2006. Later, he joined Moi University Nairobi Campus for a degree in Journalism Studies.
Joshua Sang career
He joined Sayare RTVN in Eldoret in 2003 where he was just a volunteer presenter in youth programs. Sang rose in ranks to become producer and presenter at the station.
Sang relocated to Nairobi after his marriage and he joined Biblia Husema Broadcasting, which is a Christian Radio Station. He left Bibilia Husema in 2005 and joined Kalenjin vernacular radio station KASS FM. Here, he hosted a morning call show called “Lene Emet”. Joshua quitted KASS FM in 2012 September to concentrate on his ICC case in the Hague.
He joined politics in 2022 to vie as senator in Trans Nzoia county but he failed.
On 9th August 2023, Sang was appointed as the Director of Public Communications in the office of the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service by President William Ruto. He will be responsible for communicating policies and programs from the office of the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei.

He is married to Truphosa Sang and they are blessed with three daughters.

Joshua Sang was among the famous Ocampo 6 who were named as suspects in the post election violence in Kenya after the 2007/2008 elections. He was named in three crimes against humanity;
- murder
- deportation or forcible transfer of population
- persecution
However, he was later acquitted.
