Few days after Madam Boss Akothee was barred from giving a talk to students of Ng’iya Girls School, she has declared herself a source of inspiration to many.
In a long post on her Facebook page, Akothee has called out parents and teachers who don’t consider her a role model to their children. She asserted that very many young people look up to her for inspiration.
“Most of your family members sees me as a source of inspiration. Even your sister who dropped out of school because she got pregnant, will appreciate a word or two From Esther , don’t be blinded by society blindness. They see a fighter ,a strong woman and a strong mother that has managed to embrace her scars ,hugs her past ,enjoying her present and looking forward to her future .”
Akothee also urged parents to allow their kids to experience her other side as they get to know the struggles and challenges she has gone through before she became a brand name.
“I am one of the celebrities in Africa with a huge following both on social media and on ground. With this era of internet,your children will access BRAND AKOTHEE in one way or the other. So before your children download the entertainment and all this nonsense about Akothee on social media. Like you do Allow them Access to ESTHER AKOTH KOKEYO. give me a chance to walk them through the Reality of life’s struggles & challenges”
Akothee also thanked a school Principal called Mr Mbogo for allowing her to mentor his students and reiterated that she is not a role model but a source of inspiration to the students. She posted,
“The speech that was and still is for the young generation.I am not a role model ,I am a source of inspiration Thank you very much PRINCIPAL KANYAWANGA Thank you very much Mr Mbogo.Be blessed I will be back for KANYAWANGA”
