A bora boda rider has been presented in court after he mischievously lied to a bank to acquire loan. Mr. Steven Nyamwamu who operates a bora boda business is facing various charges for his tricks.

He is reported to have gone to the I&M bank and presented himself as a government employee who wanted loan urgently. This made the bank to readily believe him and prepared his loan of ksh. 68.4 million. He then left his papers which were later checked and that is when the bank realized he was not employed in any government institution.

The bank then reported the matter to police officers who launched a hunt for Nyamwamu and he was arrested. During his presentation in court, he denied the charges claiming he is innocent. It is not known yet what Nyamwamu used the huge loan to do. He will be charged with false pretense, forgery and even conning according to the law.

There have been a lot of criminal cases in Kenya ranging from robbery with violence, false pretense, forgery to even fake cults. The relevant government bodies should step up their efforts in combating criminal activities in the country before it is late.
