The handshake season two is seemingly possible as William Ruto has hinted at meeting with Azimio leader Raila Odinga. Ruto, through his official Twitter account said that he is willing to meet with Raila Odinga as from tomorrow evening.
Ruto said that he would be on his way to Tanzania for a state visit and will be back tomorrow evening and so when he is back Odinga can meet him at any time convenient for him. This comes at a time when Raila Odinga called off demonstrations scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday and instead organized a vigil for maamdamano victims.
Earlier in the day, Raila addressed the nation during the meeting with East African press association where he revealed that efforts to have them sit with William Ruto to see a way forward for the country is are being turned down by the Ruto’s side. He added that Tanzanian president Samoa Suluhu had come to Kenya to mediate them but was treated poorly by Kenya Kwanza administration.
