She was born on 25th May in 1986 in Nairobi but she is of Kisii origin. She was raised by a single father along her other three sisters. They were living near Yaya Center around Hurligham.

Gloria Orwoba moved with her family to Sweden where she secured a job to manage a Facebook data center in Denmark. She returned to Kenya in 2017 to secure a position in the county government as the Chief Executive for the youths but she was not successful.
She returned to Kenya permanently in 2019 and launched her campaign to become the member of parliament for Bobasi in Kisii county under UDA party. She lost the nomination.
She initiated the Uji ya Glo Nutrition Program after losing the nomination. In this program, she provided a cup of porridge and two slices of bread to 13 primary schools within Bobasi constituency. In 2023, she was nominated by UDA as a senator representing women.

She is known for her strong stance on menstrual hygiene and has been on the headlines for having worn a red stained clothe to parliament to sensitize the public for the need to give free sanitary pads to ladies just like condoms are provided for free.
Orwoba was suspended from the parliament from August 2023 to February 2024 for having posted unverified allegations of sexual coercion among members of parliament.
