Job Title: Asphalt Production & Quality Assurance Manager
Reports to: Director

Job Purpose: Our client is a well-established company based in Kisumu. They seek to hire a qualified individual to support their Asphalt production line. Sample and test aggregate, asphalt, and concrete in accordance with specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe production to ensure that the proper procedures are followed to conform to plans and specifications
- Perform standard testing on materials to ensure the material meets the required specifications Obtain and/or prepare samples of materials for laboratory testing.
- Examine workmanship of installations for conformity to specifications.
- Maintain a daily log of construction, testing, and inspection activities and complete daily reports
- Prepare sketches of construction installations that correlate with testing and inspection sites.
- Proficiently and accurately sample and conduct a visual inspection and laboratory testing of construction materials according to the appropriate standard test methods to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival on the Jobsite
- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Must have a complete understanding of mixed design characteristics for asphalt products and various product specifications
- Strong math and average computer skills are required
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to interact with individuals at any level of the organization (i.e., plant production personnel, plant managers, contractors, and agency representatives)
