Tarimbo Song Banned and Deleted

Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Ezekiel Mutua on Friday night announced that he had banned Ethic’s new song dubbed ‘Tarimbo.’

The KFCB boss claimed that he had communicated with Google for the song to be taken down from YouTube.

According to Ezekiel Mutua, the song promotes violence among women, something which should be discouraged.

He further told the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to apprehend members of the Ethic Entertainment band.

“I have spoken to Google to take down the damn crap called Tarimbo by Ethic Entertainment, which advocates for the rape of women. Promoting violence against women is criminal. The DCI should arrest the entire bunch of musicians called Ethic, under Article 33, for going beyond the prescribed delimitations on freedom of expression by advocating for violence against women,” part of Ezekiel Mutua’s Facebook post read.
