CS Moses Kuria Surprises Raila by Attending Jaramogi’s Memorial Service

The Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management Moses Kuria has today surprised ODM leader Raila Odinga after he made an impromptu appearance at Raila’s function.

The controversial CS decided to make a surprise attendance of the memorial ceremony of the former Kenya’s Vice President the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.

The 30th anniversary which was held at the famous Ofafa Jericho Memorial Hall in Kisumu attracted attendance of many leaders especially those affiliated to Azimio One Kenya Coalition.

However, Kuria’s visit was not in any way expected going by the current political situation in Kenya and being a Cabinet Secretary nominated by and serving in William Ruto’s regime. He entered the venue while the program was on and this caused commotions.

Jaramogi died in 1994 which is now 30 years ago and his legacy in Kenyan politics can no be forgotten any soon and so the memorial service served to remind the current generation and those who might have forgotten his history and various achievements in politics.

Odinga was the first and only vice president who resigned from his position after this went south between him and the then president Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. He willingly refused to be made first Kenya’s president in favor of Kenyatta who was in detention at that time.
