Charleen Ruto is arguably the most talked about child of Kenyan president William Ruto. She took the advantage of her status of being a daughter of Deputy President and eventually president`s daughter. She has been vocal in various platforms especially on social media championing for the rights and spaces for the youths in Kenya.

Birth andnAge

Charleen whose real name is Charleen Chelagat Ruto is the third born in the family of William Ruto and Mama Rachael Ruto. She was born on 11th January 1993 and she is 30 years of age in 2023. Her siblings are Nick Ruto, June Ruto, Stephanie Jepchumba Ruto, George Kimutai Ruto, Nadia Cherono, and Abby Cherop Ruto.


Her early education backgrounds are not clear and the primary school she attended is not in public. This is the same case with her secondary education however, unverified claims has it that she is an alumni of Kenya High girls. She joined Daystar University where she studied a bachelor`s degree in Mass Communication. She graduated in 2015 and proceeded to do a master in Business Administration in Hospitality from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.


Charleen is the Director of the popular and controversial Weston Hotel owned by his father. She is also a Public Relations practitioner and her involvement in this has seen her meet various government officers. Her passion for environment has made her become a climate change champion and she has foundations that are aimed at achieving this.

Charleen also founded the Smart Mechanized Agriculture and Climate Action for Humanity and Sustainability.

Net Worth

She is quite loaded being a deputy president`s daughter for 10 years and now a president`s daughter is a privilage that is not easy to come by. She heads her father`s properties like Weston Hotel and together with her personal businesses, she is quite wealthy. Her estimated net worth is above 20 million Kenyan shillings.
