The Directorate of Criminal Investigation, DCI are still working round the clock to unwrap the circumstances surrounding the death of Nairobi Hospital’s Director of finance Eric Maigo. He was found killed brutally at his house located in Woodley Estate in Nairobi.

According to latest investigations, Maigo was seen arriving at his house at around 10:46 pm while accompanied by a female. This was obtained from CCTV footage which showed how he left his vehicle outside the gate as they headed in. Inside the house, a bottle of untouched whiskey was found on the table. This points out to a possible interrupted night.

Further analysis of the CCTV camera, another man who is yet to be identified or even arrested was seen leaving Maigo’s house at 5 am. This has now further complicated the case as police try to find out how the man was related to Maigo or if he was one of the accomplices. Neighboring residents recounted how they heard loud music from Maigo’s apartment when he arrived home. This signifies how the killers planned to silently kill him without causing suspicions.

His body was later discovered with over 16 wounds of knife stabs. At the time of his murder, Maigo was working at the Nairobi Hospital which is still under serious financial challenges and managerial crisis and these have been alleged to might have contributed to his death.
