CAREER HISTORY OF NEW KCB FC HEAD COACH BENARD MWALALA
His journey from a renown footballer to the pitch sides as a coach has for many years put Benard Mwalala’s name in the good books of football history.
Benard is celebrated for his appearance in Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Malaysia, Oman besides Kenyan clubs as a player.
At the time of his entry into KCB FC as the head coach, Mwalala had already coached Magomeni Coastal Union FC, Muweza FC from Tanzania and also Nzoia Sugar FC of Kenya. He was head coach also at Kakamega Homeboyz Fc and Bandari FC.
The exit of Zedekiah Otieno ‘Ziko’ from KCB has prompted Benard Mwalala’s joggings to step in for the Bankers ahead of next season.
In 2018 and 2019 Mwalala finished second while with Bandari FC. At Kakamega Homeboyz in 2022,Mwalala lost to Tusker FC on a goal difference. That tells you how much he is one football coach to watch.
Mwalala began his career in coaching with the Coastal Union FC Tanzania as an assistant Coach. He then joined Nzoia Sugar FC months after coaching Boyhood Club. That was around 2015,2016.
