The betting app company Betika is under serious criticism after an incident between the company and one of their customers attracted attention of Kenyans. This is after the company refused to pay the full amount that the gambler rightfully won.
Nelson Mellg who is from Kibukwo village in Tinderet constituency in Mandi county is now pleading with Kenyans of influence to come to his rescue and compel Betika to pay him the full amount he won. Nelson had placed a virtual bet on 16th October 2023 where the bet amount was ksh. 113,712 and he was expecting to win ksh. 477590 which he actually won.
However, to his surprise and utter shock, the company only paid him ksh. 77590. This left him wondering where a whole ksh. 400,000 went to and he contacted the company only to be told that he had played the popular Aviator game where he lost the missing amount. But Nelson has maintained that he never participated in the Aviator game after winning the bet.
Nelson has reached out to willing Kenyans especially those with legal foundation to help him recover his money as he believes the company has fixed the Aviator game on him so that they can claim he lost the money.
