The embattled Jubilee Party secretary general Jeremiah Kioni has decided to fire back at Kileleshwa member of county assembly Robert Also over his (Alai’s) recent remarks on roles of Jeremiah Kioni and other mount Kenya politicians in Azimio.
Also had alleged that all Jubilee party members in Azimio are just opportunists being used by Ruto and Rigathi to weaken Raila Odinga and his ODM party in a bid to end his influence in Kenyan politics. He went ahead to accuse former president Uhuru Kenyatta of being the architect of Azimio’s failure to win presidency.
According to Alai, Martha Karua amd Kioni have been UDA agents in Azimio meant to sabotage Raila at the expense of Ruto. This all started when no mount Kenya politician was included in the list of people to spearhead the Azimio Kenya Kwanza dialogue on various issues presented. Alai said leaving the mount Kenya leaders out of it was a good and clever move as they are just agents of Ruto and burden to Azimio.
Kioni today responded to Alai saying that he, Alai, is just in the same category as Rigathi Gachagua who just talk carelessly. He affirmed that Jubilee has always been in Azimio One Kenya Coalition and will not move away.
“I don’t want to talk about Alai because I put Alai and (Deputy President Rigathi) Gachagua in the same basket. Gachagua said if you are not a shareholder, you will have to wait until it’s your turn.” Kioni said.
