Airtel Kenya Internet Settings APN: ANDROID OS
Before attempting to manually set up airtel Kenya internet settings on your phone, send an SMS with the word ALL to 232. A message containing internet settings will be sent to your phone. Select “Save” from options to save all the settings.
Your phone is now configured to access the internet.
If the phone is not supported, you can manually set it up by selecting your phone models below:
i. Get to APN:
- Tap the Menu key.
- Tap Settings.
- In the Wireless & networks section, tap More.
- Tap Mobile Networks.
- Tap Access Point Names.
- Tap the Menu key.
- Tap New APN.
ii. Configure the APN
Enter the following details:
- Name: Airtel Internet
- APN: Internet
- Proxy: 172.30.9.8
- Port: 8080
- Username: Leave Blank
- Password: Leave Blank
- Server: Leave Blank
- MMSC: http://mms.ke.airtel.com:8002
- MMS Proxy: leave blank
- MMS Port: leave blank
- MCC: leave blank
- MNC: leave blank
- Authentication Type: PAP
- APN Type: MMS
iii. Browse
- Select the Airtel Internet APN; it is a round box that needs to be selected. Once selected it will turn green and you will be able to use the internet and MMS.
- Go to the browser and start browsing.

Before attempting to manually set up internet setting on your phone, send an SMS with the word ALL to 232. A message containing internet settings will be sent to your phone. Select “Save” from options to save all the settings.
Your phone is now configured to access the internet.
If the phone is not supported, you can manually set it up by selecting your phone models below:
i. Get to APN:
- Press Settings.
- Press General.
- Press Mobile Data.
- Press Mobile Data Network.
ii. Configure the APN
- Press APN and key in internet.
iii. Browse
- Go to the browser and check whether you can browse.

- Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your mobile phone.
- Press ALL SETTINGS.
- Press mobile + SIM.
- Press SIM settings.
- Press add Internet APN.
ii. Configure the APN
- Press the field below “APN” and key in internet.
- Press the field below the “Proxy server (URL)” and leave it blank.
- Press the field below “Proxy port” and leave it blank.
- Save the data connection-Press the save icon.
iii. Browse
- Press the home icon to end the session and return to the Home screen.
- Go to the browser and start browsing.
